Charles Dickens roamed the slums of London for his characters and materials. Jutting down words that were spoken in dark morbid places.  That were unseen during the day light but seemed to appear mystical after dark.  Slums reaged with orphans unfed and children begging for a chilling to take hone to their mother or father. They were explored children of the streets of London familiar with the darker sides.

Cover of Scrooge
Selling what ever they could similar to the movie called "my fair lady." Whose father made her sell flowers and than he would take the little she made and drink it away.
Dickens was more familiar and at home in this atmosphere of poverty than he might have lead on. He wrote his characters that have lasted through time.
Orphans that lived a life unbelievable by time but did exist during his time.
His writing bought more to the social in justice that was given to the poor especial the children were exploited for their work house caretakers.
The church also played a part in this injustice under the guise of charity. Their voices were heard through the writing pen of Charles Dickens. Their plight was exposed by the light of injustice. These in moral acts done and administers by upper society as Scrooge so well captured by dickens in his character.
Can we honestly say society has changed?
Reading Charles Dickens open ones eyes to the injustice created by an in moral society. Find his books and read them see for yourself, how his descriptive writing of these characters bought to them life? These were his writings that did this for his books have stood the test of time. Because he thought to get the truth on paper by walking the street and he lived the part through their eyes.

Writing good content.

Writing good content requires researching your topic on the web. Finding out the facts about your subject. This might open new channels of information for that subject.

It's like reinventing a new machine or computer their constantly being made to work more efficient or faster. These are features need to be added to your content material. If they are not then the reader will not go any further because they know that you don't have the up to date information on that subject.

Researching can be an exciting en diver for you. Your learning something new but its
keeping the material fresh and inviting to that reader. Readers need to be kept
interested by your words and expertize of the subject.

It can be compared to reading a good book that holds the interest from page to page. They will be able to tell if you are a good writer. You really cannot fool
someone into reading your material unless it has good and interesting content.

Researching is like a good Sherlock Homes mystery that needs to be solved. Than the clues you get from that information may lead you to another. You keep on digging and final the end is in site. You've done your part as far as content is considered. Now it's in the readers hands to read and put those clues together that will make him come back for more.

You have done it. You found someone that is interested in what you have to say on any given subject. When they come away with knowing a little bit more on that subject. You can than start calling yourself a writer.
That is a good thing.
